VIA
More Than a Race
VIA isn't just an event; it's a series of grand historical chapters written across the changing landscapes of Europe. Following the legendary paths of history—from retracing Hannibal’s crossing of the Alps to pushing beyond old Roman frontiers—VIA takes riders on a massive 4,000-kilometer unsupported journey.
This is free-routing, pure road cycling at its most brutal and beautiful. To make it from the start line to the "Triumphal Celebration" at the finish, riders must navigate their own paths through mandatory alpine gates and remote refuges, climbing upwards of 40,000 meters along the way.
But what truly makes VIA close to our hearts at Chimpanzee isn't just the jaw-dropping distance. It’s their ethos: "More than a race—VIA is a family."
Unlike other ultra-endurance events where isolation is the norm, VIA actively fosters camaraderie. Riders are allowed to share tools, chat through the brutal midnight hours, and share community meals before and after the journey. It’s an event built on deep human connection, shared suffering, and lifelong friendships.

Powering an Inclusive Pack
We also deeply share VIA's commitment to diversity and inclusion. From paracyclists pushing past incredible physical barriers to riders tackling 4,000 km on cargo bikes or folding Bromptons, VIA believes that everyone belongs on the road to greatness. They don’t just welcome underrepresented groups; they celebrate the unique story that every single cyclist brings to the asphalt.
When you are 2,500 kilometers deep, dealing with saddle sores, broken spokes, and sleep deprivation, your nutrition cannot be a question mark. It has to be dependable, natural, and effective. We are honored to put Chimpanzee fuel into the packs of these extraordinary athletes as they push past their perceived limits.
